LUND BUG SHIELD

Bug Shields, also known as bug deflectors, hood deflectors or wind deflectors, are attached at the front of your car, truck or SUV hood to help prevent bugs from smashing into your windshield, or “deflect” them away.  They can also keep bugs, rocks or other road debris from damaging the front of your hood.  Most bug shields are made from tough, high-strength plastic material.

One of the best known bug shields in the automotive aftermarket industry is the Interceptor Bug Shield by Lund.  The Lund name is synonymous with high quality accessories for nearly every make and model of vehicle on the road today, and the Interceptor Bug Shield by Lund is no exception.

The Interceptor Bug Shield by Lund is made from a polycarbonate material that makes it lightweight, yet super strong.  It is a full height, wrap-around style that gives your car, truck or SUV maximum protection for the hood, fender and windshield.  It mounts slightly away from the hood, making it really easy for you to clean the portion of the hood behind the bug shield.  Most applications require no drilling, although some vehicles will require some minor drilling with small sheet metal screws to install their bug shield.

The Interceptor Bug Shield is available in a dark smoke finish, or in a clear finish which can be painted to match your vehicle’s color.  You can also get a set of Auto Ventshade Ventvisors (part of the Lund family of automotive products) to complete the look of your vehicle.  These products can add style, great looks, and added value to your vehicle for many years to come!
